When considering a supplement to take for your sexual health and to improve your sex life, it is critical to consider clinical studies of the product to insure you are taking something that will be effective, but more importantly, that it is a legitimate and safe product to take. Consulting clinical studies is a great way to make sure that you are getting a solid product.
The following is an overview of important clinical studies that have been done for the male sexual health and virility supplement called VigRX Plus.
In 2010, Vedic Lifesciences conducted a clinical study of VigRX. The study was fully randomized and triple-blind, with the intentions of studying the efficacy and safety of the product.
This particular study set out to specifically assess the supplement’s effects on a subject’s semen volume and sperm count. In addition, erectile function was tested at the beginning and end of the study, and results were compared to results of subjectsusing just a placebo.
At the end of the study, researchers concluded that subjects that were givenVigRX had a significant increase in their markers for sexual virility and health, including overall libido, orgasm and satisfaction as compared to results from those taking a placebo. In addition, the supplement was noted as well-tolerated by subjects with few side effects. Subjects experienced a 62% increase in their overall sexual satisfaction, a nearly 63% uptick in their ability to keep their erection during penetration, a 60% increase in penetration ability, a 23% increase in the amount of orgasms, a 47% increase in sex drive and a 72% increase in sexual satisfaction overall. The placebo group in this study actually showed a small decrease in overall sexual satisfaction.
Another study, performed by AIBMR Life Sciences, Inc set out to study the aphrodisiac effects of the product. This animal-based study added to the evidence supporting the efficacy, safety and purity of VigRX. Specifically, rats that were treated with VigRX showed increased sexual behavior and had higher serum testosterone levels than rats not given the product.
In addition, several studies have been done that test the purity of the product to make sure the supplement contains precisely what the bottle says, and also is free of toxic elements like harmful bacteria or salmonella. Lab tests done by the Pharmaceutical Control and Development Laboratory Co. Ltd. in Budapest, Hungary concluded that the supplement contained no harmful or toxic substances.
